About the Role
The Victory Academy Lead Teacher is responsible for the academic, spiritual, social, and emotional growth & development of all children under his/her care. Lead Teachers are responsible for assuring that their classroom is in compliance with NC childcare laws, and is expected to work as a team with fellow staff members to accomplish daily goals while maintaining harmony in the classroom and amongst the children and families we serve.
Position Responsibilities
-Prepares and implements lesson plans, bible lessons, daily schedule, and newsletters.
-Maintains structure and consistency in the classroom
-Works directly with children
-Develops relationship with children, parents, and other staff members
-Creates an exciting and stimulating classroom environment
-Provide quality supervision continuously throughout the day
-Diapering daily in age-appropriate rooms and properly sanitizing/disinfecting after each change
-Potty training and handling soiled/wet clothing should an accident occur
-Maintain flexibility in working in all classrooms
-Develops great relationship with the children and parents.
-Maintains a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
-Trains and guides new staff.
-Attends all staff meetings.
-Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education
NCECC from a licensed/accredited program is preferred, but not required.
At least 2 years’ experience in a childcare classroom setting preferred, but not required.
Skills and Abilities
A love and passion for children and Jesus!
Great communication skills and proper grammar (verbal & written)
Must be CPR Certified
Problem-solving, resourcefulness, and priority-setting skills.
Ability to bend, lift and carry up to 35-40lbs.
